Women Retired from Ministry Who Feel "Put Out to Pasture"

I am a retired woman in ministry, and that is why at Wisdom for Women in Waiting, I deeply value and honor the lifetime of service, sacrifice, and faithfulness of women who have dedicated themselves to the service of our Lord God. Personally, I understand that stepping into retirement can sometimes feel like being set aside rather than sent forward as if our season of purpose has ended. It's not over until God affirms it.

God wants us to know that retirement from active ministry is not the end—it is an invitation to a new, meaningful chapter of influence, wisdom-sharing, and deeper intimacy with God.

We serve retired women in ministry by offering:

  • Affirmation & Encouragement – You are not forgotten. Your wisdom, experience, and spiritual legacy are needed now more than ever. We remind retired women in ministry that God still has a purpose for their lives, even beyond the pulpit or formal roles.
  • A Platform to Share Wisdom – Your journey in ministry has given you insights that can bless, mentor, and guide the next generation. Wisdom for Women in Waiting provides opportunities to share your testimony, teach, and pour into younger women who need your voice.
  • Renewed Purpose & Calling – Retirement is not about fading away—it’s about shifting into a new assignment. We help women seek God’s direction for this season and explore fresh ways to serve, whether through mentoring, writing, teaching, or simply living as a testament to God's faithfulness.
  • Healing & Reflection – After years of ministry, many women carry unspoken wounds, regrets, or unresolved emotions. We offer a space to process, heal, and step forward into freedom and joy in this next phase of life.
  • Community & Connection – You are not alone. We connect retired women in ministry with others who share their experiences, creating a support system where they can encourage one another, laugh, pray, and journey forward together.

To every retired woman in ministry who feels set aside—you are not done, and God is not done with you. Your waiting is not a wilderness, but a transition into a season of deeper wisdom, influence, and legacy-building.

At Wisdom for Women in Waiting, we celebrate your journey, your calling, and your future—because there is still more ahead! Let's continue this journey together as we work to fulfill all of the calls upon our lives given to us by God.
